Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect with solid experience designing modern microservices architectures based on Docker containers and defining technical guidelines for structured development teams.

The role is part of a strategic application project for a client in the financial sector, characterized by high security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and definition of microservices application architecture
• Definition of Docker container-based architectures
• Choice of the most suitable architectural patterns (API-first, event-driven, etc.)
• Definition of development, security, and code quality standards
• Technical supervision and support for the development team
• Collaboration with the Project Manager for technical planning
• Translation of functional requirements into robust architectural solutions
• Design of scalable, resilient, and highly available systems
• Definition of integration strategies between services and third-party systems
• Support for code review and quality assurance activities
• Ensuring compliance with financial industry security and compliance standards

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 7–10 years of software development experience
• At least 3–5 years of experience as a Software Architect or Lead Developer
• Proven experience in microservices architectures
• Experience with Docker-based container architectures
• Excellent knowledge of software architecture principles (SOLID, Clean Architecture, design patterns)
• Experience with REST APIs and service integration
• Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum contexts
• Technical leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent knowledge of Italian; good knowledge of technical English

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in finance, banking, or insurance
• Experience with container orchestrators (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Cybersecurity and secure coding skills
• Architectural or cloud certifications
• Residency in Switzerland (preferably Ticino) or immediate availability to relocate
• Valid work permit for Switzerland or EU citizenship
